1954 Gibson Les Paul

BMVG's is pleased to offer a stunning 1954 Gibson Les Paul from the family of the original owner!
 
John T. Norman purchased this Gold Top in 1954 at Griggs Music Store in Davenport, Iowa. His daughter Anita was kind enough to write a bit more history on the piece as well as include some photos! All of which will go on to the new owner. 
This gold top is flat out fantastic and remains 100% factory original to the tuner tips and frets.
 
She has survived 70 years with zero modifications and still plays like a dream, John picked a good one! Weighing 8lbs 6 oz this example is in the sweet spot for Les Pauls. The p90's smoke, registering 7.7 N & 8.5 B ohms. The neck is that perfect 54 slight V carve that many players and collectors covet, .88 - .95; perfect! 
This example has BEAUTIFUL green'd horizontal checking and a perfect "broken in" feel to the back of the neck.
 
This is an excellent example and a great piece to hang onto for years to come!
