1956 Gibson Les Paul
BMVG's is pleased to offer a vibey & super resonant 1956 Gibson Les Paul Standard!
This tune-o-matic is a monster player and remains completely original less a beautiful re-fret (original frets in the case pocket). There is massive flame peeking out from under the gold, which is always cool to see in these 50's gold tops! The p90's offer perfect balance in output and have exceptional clarity; they measure 7.7 N & 7.5 B. The neck feels incredible in the hand thanks in large part to a slight V, it measures .90 - .99! That may sound big, but with the V and skinny shoulders it feels incredible. The overall balance of this guitar is spot on and she comes in just over 9 lbs.
The gorgeous dark back has a unique almost Jr like fade to the spray. While this isn't the first example we've seen shot like this it is rarer to see on a tune-o-matic guitar. The dark pore filler, yellow serial number and perfect black light inspection verify that we have no touch up, over spray or issues here. An uncommon but incredibly cool spray!
The original Lifton case is as vibey and has as many stories to tell as the guitar, flaunting vintage stickers from all the cities they've rocked! Cool factor 10/10!
