1959 Gibson ES-335
BMVG's is at it again and pleased to present this stunning 1959 Gibson ES-335!
This guitar is amazing sonically, visually and playability wise; thanks to a recent re-fret. It boasts a double cream PAF in the Bridge 8.13 & an equally charged double black in the Neck 8.34! Being a mid-back half of the year instrument it has a very easy to bond with neck profile that has meat without being bulky. The neck measures .84 - .92 totally standard for most 59 dots.
The only knock on this guitar is it had a floating Bigsby which left 4 tiny screw holes that have been filled at the end pin (photo) but fortunately none on the top!
There is very mild play-wear overall, I'd call it a 8.75/10. An excellent example to be sure and with only 500 +/- a dozen made in 59 it is certainly the right guitar to invest in & enjoy!
All of the hardware & plastics are in excellent condition and are undoubtably original to the guitar as is the case.
