1960 Gibson ES-335
BMVG's is pleased to offer a monster 1960 Gibson ES-335!
Not all Gibson guitars from 1960 are equal, it's a transitional year for the company so features and appointments change. Which now 65 years later equates to price difference.
This 335 was shipped out in May of 1960, so it maintains all 59 features. Those features include a slightly deeper neck profile, single ring tuner tips, bonnet knobs, bumble bee caps & if you're lucky double cream & or zebra PAF's. This example possesses all of these more desirable features.
The PAF's are both zebras and measure 7.8 each, that's as balanced as you can get folks. The guitar has had a recent re-fret and is perfectly dialed in, the original frets are in a baggy in the case pocket. The neck is your typical transitional 59/60 neck which is fast & wide without being thin & frail.
This instrument was well played and offers excellent mojo with an honest wear spot on the lower bout and some fine vertical checking. The back of the neck also has that wonderful played in feel without being worn out. This dot was undoubtably someones main gigger & prized possession that was loved and very well cared for.
This gorgeous 335 is apart from the re-fret, 100% original.
